NTVDM.EXE has encountered a problem and needs to close
After windows updates were installed on June 13, 2012 i get this message on 2 windows xp sp2 machines. i am using a 16 bit data transfer program on a com port. i have run anti virus and antispyware and malware programs on both. i have run chkdsk /r on both. command.com runs on both. if i uninstall the updates another program fails to run but i dont remember the error. is there anyone else with this problem? has anyone been able to find a fix or workaround?
