Getting error while patching the system

Hi...

While patching the system i am getting the error message "The file c:\windows\system32\ntkrnba.exe is open or in use by another application, Close all other applications and then click Retry". so what shall i do to resolve such issue???

and if i download the process explorer then is it helpful for me to stop the process???
