Hello all,
So im having a strange problem with XP machines - though it does not seem to be all but some.
And it goes something like this -
I move the computer object in AD to a different OU.
Restart the client machines after doing that, I will get an error saying that the
local policies will not allow the user to log in.
It seems that domain users inside the local administrators group on the client machines will not get
the names resolved. It just shows the SID for the users. This will happen to all users I add to the
local admin group. However security groups that are added will be just fine and users inside those groups
can login normally.
I've tried various things, for example; rejoining the domain and putting the machine in an OU with blocked
inheritance and no gpos linked
Any ideas?
