Problems with mapped drives

Hi all,

I'm working on a XP SP3 machine on a Server 2008R2 standard SP1 network. I have various mapped drives to both server maps as shared maps on other client PC's. I have a problem with 2 shared mapes on a specific client running Win 7 professional SP1. At times I lose the connection to the mapped drives and get error "the local device name is already in use". When I try to access the shared map via explorer, I get error message "The specified network provider name is invalid".This is weird as I'm trying to access the maps with the account I used to make the share on the Win 7 machine.

In the past the problem was solved by rebooting the XP machine a few times. This time the problem persists.

All mappings to other shares work as normal and also a vnc-connection to the win7 machine is still possible. I already used "net use" to check for double drive names and there were none.

Thanks for any help on this.
