On March 31, 2015 (which is today), Windows 2000 Embedded's license ended. So, Windows 2000 Professional for Embedded Systems and Windows 2000 Server for Embedded Systems would be expired, just like Windows NT 4.0 Embedded, and Windows 2000 Embedded was released on March 31, 2000, which is exactly 1.5 decades from now. Windows 2000 Embedded is unsupported on July 13, 2010, which is that it won't receive any more security updates that help protect your PC. Here is the note what End of License (like Windows 2000 Embedded is today on March 31, 2015): The end-of-license dates, upon which all license rights to a product expire (for use, installation or distribution, by Microsoft or our Embedded OEM partners)
Windows 2000 is not gonna be used again, so if you say me that I can still use Windows 2000 for some more time, I would say no, because it won't have anymore security updates.
